DESCRIPTION
In 1998, representatives from the City of St. Louis, St. Louis County, Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the East-West Gateway Coordinating Council developed a plan for a linear park along the River Des Peres between the Mississippi River and Forest Park. The district conceptually endorsed this plan and selected the Christy Greenway connection as the pilot project.
